Upon arrival in Oslo, take the rail downtown to your hotel. Take the day to enjoy this historic city! Take a boat ride to Bygdoy and see the Viking Ship , Kon Tiki and Folk Museum.

Oslo - Longyearbyen
After breakfast transfer to airport for your flight to Longyearbyen. If you depart on Friday it will be an afternoon flight.

Longyearbyen - Barentsburg - Prins Karls Forland
If you depart on Monday tour the city before embarking early evening on the ship. Friday departures embark around noon. Your adventure begins with days filled arctic flora, eagles, puffins, seals, whales and hopefully polar bears! As you exit the Isfjord, you will call on a Russian mining community before continuing northward along the breathtaking northern shores of Prins Karls Forland island.
Magdalenefjord
Monday departures arrive in the breathtaking Magdalenefjord early morning. Here thousands of auks and some whales will be spotted. In the afternoon cruise farther north to make numerous landings with Zodiac boats. Friday departures sail to the Woodfjord area weather permitting. In the Liefdefjord experience the Monaco glacier via a Zodiac boat- truly awe-inspiring. Continuing on you will cross the 80 degree parallel and reach Moffen Island. End the day heading south into the stunning Smeerenburgfjord and Magdalenefjord.
Fjords - Glaciers
Monday departures sail to the Woodfjord area weather permitting. In the Liefdefjord experience the Monaco glacier via a Zodiac boat- truly awe-inspiring. Continuing on you will cross the 80 degree parallel and reach Moffen Island, a sanctuary for walruses. Friday departures will travel south through the day making landings with Zodiac boats. In the evening a visit will be made to the research center of the the northernmost settlement in world, Ny-Alesund. During the night the ship proceeds along the coast of Prins Karls Forland to Longyearbyen.
Longyearbyen
Monday departures visit Ny-Alesund and Blomstrandhamna then continue south along Prins Karls Forland, returning to Longyearbyen around midnight. Friday departures arrive in the morning in Longyearbyen to take a guided city tour including a visit to the Svalbard museum. A transfer to the Spitsbergen hotel will be included to enjoy a light lunch. The rest of your afternoon is free before your farewell dinner at the hotel.*
