Narsaq is a wonderful town only 3 hours by boat from Narsarsuaq with icebergs floating amongst the colorful wooden houses. Whether sailing between the iceberg's of Eric's fjord, seeing viking ruins and beautiful scenery along the Inland Ice Cap or taking city walks to experience the daily life of a small Greenlandic town, this short adventure is well worth the travels!

Reykjavik - Narsarsuaq - Narsaq

Depart on an Air Iceland flight from Reykjavik to Narsarsuaq at 1:30 pm. Upon arrival transfer from the airport to the pier to catch your boat to Narsaq, traveling through Eric's fjord. Once in Narsaq, transfer to the hotel to check in and join an informational welcome meeting! Tonight enjoy an evening cruise into Narsaq's surrounding fjords. In the evening light the icebergs will be a beautiful shade of pink and purple. You might even see a whale if you are lucky!

Narsaq

Rise for breakfast this morning before your city walk excursion. Join your guide for your 5 hour walk through Narsaq to learn more about daily life in a small Greenland town. The tour will include the new and old parts of town to see hunters bringing in seals. Also visits to a local store and market, "Brædtet", to see how the old and new life simultaneously. Lunch and museum visit are included.

Narsaq

After breakfast get ready for your full day excursion to Qaqortoq. You begin by sailing through the narrow Mato Strait to South Greeland's biggest town, Qaqortoq. In this old town, there are more than 40 contemporary art sculptures made from rock, "Stone and Man." Lunch will be a cozy local restaurant, Napparsivik, one of the cities oldest houses.

Optional: if weather permits, a helicopter ride one way from Narsaq to Qaqortoq. (extra fees apply)

Narsaq

Enjoy breakfast before your transfer to the pier to catch your boat back to Narsarsuaq. The flight will depart at 2:30 and arrive back in Reykjavik at 6:30 pm.

+ Day 1

Reykjavik - Narsarsuaq - Narsaq
